Following dinner, he then surprises her by showering her with something more her style - a very expensive watch and earrings. Simon and Alex discuss Francois' school evaluation, which Alex must attend alone because Simon has to go to Australia due to the death of his stepfather. This will be the longest the two will spend apart since they have been married. Jill travels to Connecticut to attend a formal luncheon held by her sister Lisa, and to do an interview for her sister's local radio show.
