Lampião consults a doctor, who recommends a period of rest. He then moves the gang to spend some time on the farm of Federalina, the widow of his late friend, where mother and daughter now live. Maria is enchanted by their lifestyle, speaking French and playing the piano, and dreams of her family life. Lampião asks Federalina for help to buy land in another state. She promises to help, but has other intentions. Maria and Lampião do not forgive her. Meanwhile, Lurdes and Curió get dangerously close.
