Re-release of the Stargate SG-1 television pilot, "Children of the Gods". The film was edited; given sharper and clearer imaging, re-scoring the music, and new and trimmed scenes, including the removal of the controversial scene showing full-frontal nudity. The scenes have been replaced with new ones, and new special effects have been added. In effect, the episode has been essentially transformed and re-released as an SG-1 direct-to-DVD movie, complete with a brand-new opening title card. Some scenes are cut from the film altogether, and some events also do not happen, the most notable being Charles Kawalsky's possession by a Goa'uld. This does not take place on camera—in fact, Kawalsky is standing almost the whole time during the fight on Chulak, meaning the circumstances leading to the parasite's insertion don't take place.
