Emily returns from camp and is excited to learn that Brook Lynn will be in residence at the gatehouse for several weeks. Her happiness fades, however, when Ned reveals that Juan has already left for Puerto Rico. Elizabeth tries to coax Nikolas out to see a movie but he explains that Katherine is on her way over for a visit. Meanwhile, Katherine begins searching for a surrogate mother to carry a child for her and Nikolas. A grateful Jax thanks Bobbie for giving his brother a reason to return to the land of the living.
