Hunter and Drummond attempt to find an amateur surgeon who is selling organs on the black market. Their investigation begins with a young girl who has sold her kidney for £2,000, but before she can give evidence, she dies of renal failure. They then begin their search for the mysterious operating theatre where the operations are taking place. Meanwhile, as Klein recovers from his forced heroin overdose at the hands of Dennis Weaver's henchmen, Smithy and Young try to prove his innocence beyond doubt as his condition and his previous history with drugs make his testimony against gunman Finnegan unreliable.
