This spin-off series to ARE YOU BEING SERVED? sees the staff of Grace Brothers move to the country as joint owners of a Tudor Manor House and farm. Following Mr. Grace's death and the shop closure, they discover that their pension fund has been invested in the manor. Unfortunately, a clause in the contract means that they cannot sell the house and claim their money back. They visit the manor and discover that it is a hotel run by Mr. Rumbold who seems to be having some staff difficulties -- he hasn't any. Mr. Moulterd and his daughter Mavis run the farm but also lend a helping hand around the hotel. Realising that this hotel is their only source of income they decide that the only way they can live in luxury is to stay there as permanent guests. But things do not turn out quite how they imagined.
