Paddy is a troubled man. The genial vet has managed to repair his relationship with Mandy, but his happiness has been short lived after learning of his mother's illness. He decides to visit his mother and build bridges, but is shocked to lean how serious her condition is. When Mrs Kirk asks Paddy if he has found himself a nice new girl, tension soon fills the air.
